D.A. Koudymov
Fighter pilot and Soviet ace of the Second world war.
Career
Born in 1910, it followed, with the beginning of the year the thirty courses of the military college of the Air of Kacha , which it left patented pilot, before being directed on an operational flotilla.
Countryside of China
Transferred in a unit of air hunting of the Far East in 1937, it went voluntary to join the rows of a Soviet air expeditionary group which fought the Japan board at the sides of the Chinese troops . Flying on I-16, it obtained there 4 victories approved in 2 months:- 1937
- December 2nd: 1 Mitsubishi A5M cut down;
- December 3rd: 1 bomber cut down;
- ? December: 1 enemy apparatus not identified shot down;
- 1938
- February 18th: 1 Mitsubishi A5M cut down.
patriotic Great War
In June 1941, during the German invasion of the Soviet Union, it had been promoted with the rank of major (= Commander) in the Aéronavale and ordered the 9.IAP-ChF (= regiment of hunting of the Naval Aviation), belonging to the fleet of the Black Sea. It continued to fly on hunter I-16, although this one was at the very least obsolete, until the beginning 1943. In February 1943, it was transferred to the fleet of the Baltique, with which it finished the war.
