D-day
The expression D-day (in English D Day ) indicates the June 6th 1944, day when the unloading combined in Normandy at the time of the Second world war began.
June 6th, 1944, the D-day
The so known D-day under the name of code “Overlord” is an unloading envisaged on June 5th, 1944 on beaches Normans. The D-day was planned for on June 5th but it will be pushed back at June 6th.
At June 4th of the gigantic convoys, which already installed English ports, must make half-turn on an increasingly dismounted sea. June 6th the D-day starts! With 3:14 of the bombers their bombs release on the selected beaches. With 3 hours 30 of the parachutists and groups airborne are released, in absence of any organized reaction of German. Many parachutists drown in the marshes with the weight of their equipment.
Omaha beach was the beach where unloaded American like on Utah beach. Called “Omaha the bloody one”, Omaha beach was the beach where there be the most loss.
