The port authority of the Dégrad-Of-Cannes is located on the territory of the commune of Rémire-Montjoly a few kilometres from Cayenne in Guyana. It is in the estuary of the river Mahury, it is connected to the sea by a channel of 18,5 km long access. This port is managed by the Chamber of commerce and of industry of Guyana.

It accommodates the near total of the imports and export of the department of the Guyana and approximately 80% of the ships. To maintain the economic activities and to make it possible the ships to accost, the channel of access of the port is dredged permanently to limit its silting. What does of it one of the most expensive ports of the world. it also accommodates the launchers ARIANE for the Guianese Space center (CSG) with Kourou.

The wearing of Dégrad-Of-Cannes was built in 1969, to replace the old port Cayenne arrived at saturation. Today the port of Dégrad-Of-Cannes manages a traffic of approximately 800.000 tons per annum, has a vast industrial park, a marina for the yachts, a naval base and a thermo plant EDF.
