The Dão-Lafões - in Portuguese: Dão-Lafões - is one of the 30 statistical under-areas of the Portugal.

With 11 other under-areas, it forms the area Center.

Geography

Dão-Lafões is bordering:

in north, of the Tâmega and the Douro,
in the east, of the Northern Beira interior and the Tightened da Estrela,
in the south, of the Northern interior Pinhal and the Bas Mondego,
in the west, of the Basse Vouga and the Between Douro and Vouga.

Demography

Approximately a third of the population of the under-area lives in the municipality of Viseu, on a territory which represents a little less than 15% of the total surface area of the under-area.
