Cytosine

The cytosine is a nitrogenized Base, and more exactly a bases pyrimidic (see also DNA and ARN). One finds it in the form of Nucléotide: in the DNA it is the dCMP for désoxycytidine monophosphate , and in the ARN the CMP for cytidine monophosphate . Cytosine is paired with the Guanine in the DNA as in the ARN. The cytosine is 2-oxo-4aminopyrimidine.

Dimerous

Under the action of the rays UV, the bases Pyrimidin S like cytosine and the Thymine can rather form connections with the adjacent bases than with theirs opposite complementary. Such an action causes to create what one call a dimer which has like consequence to harm the good maintenance of DNA in particular at the time of its replication and its transcription, the Protéines thus produced undergo a change of the type “misinterpretation”.
