Cytinaceae

The family of the Cytinacées is a family of plants Dicotylédone S which includes/understands 10 Espèce S divided into 2 kind S:

  • Bdallophytum ,
  • Cytinus .
They are parasitic plants without chorophylle, of the areas moderated with tropical, originating in the Mediterranean basin, the Mexico, South Africa and Madagascar. In France it is represented by the Cytinelle (Cytinus hypocistis) parasite of the Ciste to white flower on the Mediterranean circumference.

Previously built-in the Rafflésiacée S, the phylogenetic classification APG II (2003) locates them for the moment in the families of dubious position (or the Malvales according to the site).
