Cyril Despres
Cyril Despres , born the January 24th 1974 with Nemours, is a pilot of Moto French, practitioner mainly the rally-raid. He lives in Andorra and speaks the Catalan perfaitement.
In 2005, it gains its first Rallye Paris-Dakar, rally that the stable KTM was promised to gain to remember it Richard Sainct, died a few months earlier at the time of the Rallye of Tunisia. But this rally, it must also dedicate it to another of its former fellow-members, Italian Fabrizio Meoni, deceased on January 11th.
The year 2006 is for him one year of galère: it is first of all preceded by Italian Marc Coma at the time of Dakar. Then it must face the death of his spiritual father Henri Magne. Then he escapes an avalanche during which his/her best friend dies.
He joins again with the victory at the time of the edition 2007: after a first week of galères, with in particular a breakage of Gear box which it constrained to finish special in first, it takes again the first place with the abandonment of Marc Coma and thus gains its second Dakar.
