Cynocephalus of Chacma

The cynocephalus of Chacma ( Papio ursinus ), or baboon Chacma , is largest of the Babouin S of savanna. Its surface of distribution extends in Southern Africa.

note : at present (2005), a certain number of specialists consider only one: Papio hamadryas , of which the others Papio would not be that S. the cynocephalus is also called HAMADRYAS. CYNO of Latin wants to say " chien" and CEPHALE " tête" , therefore " head of chien" because of its jaw very marked.
