Cyclorana
This kind consists of several species S of Grenouille S of the family of the Hylidae (arboricolous frogs) widespread in all the Australia except for the areas of the extreme south and south-west. Though classified in arboricolous frogs, this kind is entirely terrestrial and does not have the plantar bearings which make it possible their arboricolous cousins to go up in the trees. This kind is classified all the same in arboricolous frogs because of the similarity of their skeleton with that of the kind Litoria and the physical resemblances of the two kinds of tétards.
This kind lives in some of the most arid zones of Australia. Certain species are buried and remained in lethargy during more than five if one needs it in the event of dryness. They can store great quantities of water in their bladder and are surrounded by a cocoon to reduce their water losses this is why they are often called " toilets holding frogs" (frogs carrying water). These frogs only go back to surface to reproduce and nourish themselves after the strong rains of summer. They lay their eggs in the temporary stretches of water and the tétards develop quickly to be metamorphosed before the complete draining of stretch of water.
