Cyclopean wall
The cyclopean wall or cyclopean bond is a primitive method of construction, consisted of large stones not squared, simply piled up so as to form a defensive Mur or a Jetée, a Barrage, a Pont, a Route.
The expression " wall cyclopéen" is usually reserved for old civilizations, while the same principle applied nowadays to achievements of Civil engineering such as gravity dams or piers at sea will receive rather the name of Enrochement.
Cyclopean constructions in civilization mycénienne
The type is the enclosure of Mycènes. One finds the same application to the Fortification S of Tirynthe, with Casemate S and Archère S, and in the other fortresses or Acropole S mycéniennes, or of the same time: Gla, Troy…
The bridge of Kazarma, on the road of Mycènes/Tirynthe with Épidaure, is of the same invoice. It is always of use, for the local and agricultural needs.
