English universal dictionary in 2 volumes, the Cyclopaedia or universal Dictionary of arts and sciences of Ephraim Chambers, appeared with London in 1728 and was often republished. Diderot and D' Alembert will be inspired some to create the Encyclopédie or reasoned Dictionary of sciences, arts and the trades .
