The cyclohexanone is a Cétone of empirical formula C₆H₁₀O. It has a cyclic form from where the cyclo prefix. Cyclohexanone between concerned in the formation of the adipic acid, precursory of the Nylon.

Cyclohexanone is flammable, harmful by inhalation. Any contact with the eyes is to be avoided. Sentences of safety: R 10, R 20 and S25
