Cycle sulfur

The cycle of sulfur is the biogeochemical Cycle various forms of the Soufre.

The principal stages of the cycle of sulfur are:

  • the Mineralization of organic sulfur in an inorganic form: the Sulfide of hydrogen (H2S).
  • the Oxidation of sulfide, elementary sulfur (S) and its related compounds in Sulfate (SO42-).
  • the Reduction of sulfide sulfate.
  • the microbial immobilization of the sulfur compounds and incorporation in the organic shape of sulfur.
