Cutter

The cutter is a Gréement of Bateau to veil, generally bridged and with skittle (contrary to the Dériveur), and which has only one central mast, except if it is equipped with a Tapecul. To the difference of the Sloop, it carries a surface of veil divided to before (at least 2 veils of before).
The Bôme located in bottom of the mast supports the mainsail, the Foc and the Trinquette is in front of the mast.
It is the old shape of the livable boats of average size. the Fox , last boat Corsair armed by Robert Surcouf, is a characteristic example.
