Cut League of handball

The Coupe of the League of handball is a competition of Handball created by the League of French handball in 2002. It gathers 2002 with 2006 the first eight teams at the end them matches to go from the championship of France. They clash during a tournament with direct elimination.

New formula in 2006 - 2007 with two phases. The nine clubs of Division 1 not disputing European cuts this season are divided into three groups:

  • Nimes, Pontault and Villeurbanne,
  • Creteil, Carries Norman and Sélestat,
  • Istres, Toulouse and Tremblay.
This preliminary phase of groups was held over three days: the October 7th, October 21st and November 4th, 2006. The first of each group are qualified in quarterfinals where the five European clubs are already registered: Chambéry, Dunkirk, Ivry, Montpellier and Paris. The quarterfinals are programmed the April 15th 2007.
