Cut Gambardella
The Coupe Gambardella is a test open to the teams first category 18 years (U18 in term FIFA) of the French football clubs. It is organized by the French federation of football (FF).
It is the occasion for the young hopes to show their qualities and to aguerrir themselves in a very raised national competition. A victory finally of the Gambardella cut is sought as much by the players who hope to start their career than by the clubs which thus hope to show their capacity to form young talents.
History
In the past “national Cut of the juniors” before 1954, the competition is renamed in the honor of Emmanuel Gambardella, president of the French federation of football of 1949 to 1953.The first Gambardella Cut is thus organized during the season 1954-1955.

Course of the test
It begins in December for the federal level and is completed the same day as the final of the Coupe de France. In the event of equality at the conclusion of the prescribed time, there is no prolongation and the teams are decided between with the shootings with the goal. The semi-finals take place on neutral ground. The final takes place with the Stade de France.-
