Cut Europe of the nations of athletics 1983
The 9th Coupe of Europe of the nations of athletics is held the 20 and August 21st 1983 with London with the the United Kingdom.
For the first time, the organization of the Cut changes: instead of a preliminary round, semi-finals and of finale (S) which follow one another throughout the summer, it is a system of the football type which is set up, with promoted teams and relegated teams.

Finales “C”
The two finales, C1 and C2, have the same value. They make it possible to be qualified for the finale B two years afterwards. They are held August 20th and 21st 1983 in Dublin and Lisbon.
