Curtius museum

The Musée Curtius is a Musée of Archéologie located at Liege, in Belgium.

This residence patrician (which belongs to the major Patrimoine of Wallonia), of proud pace, was built between 1600 and 1610 by Jean Of Corte say Curtius, industrialist, merchant and munitionnaire inhabitant of Li2ege but also treasurer and supplier of the armies of the king of Spain to the Netherlands, universally known under its Latinized name of Curtius and with which it Principauté of Liege had the rise of its industries at the 17th century.

The Curtius house is the specimen most representative of the architecture of the Renaissance in the area mosane. It was restored between 1904 and 1909. It shelters the museum of archeology today, currently in work, it will belong to the great complex of museum which should open its doors at the end of 2007. It belongs to the major Patrimoine of Wallonia
