Currie RFC is a club of Scottish Rugby located at Balerno in the suburbs of Edinburgh, which evolves/moves in the Scottish Premiership Division 1, of which it gains the title in 2007.
History
Currie is suburbs of Edinburgh, but the club is located at Balerno, another city of the periphery.The club is of recent foundation (1970). The team plays its first match under the colors of Boroughmuir (green and blue). Little by little, Currie climbs the levels of the local championships, then climbs fifth with the first division in only seven seasons, reaching the elite for the first time in 1990. Relegated at the end of the season 1994-95, it goes up at once not to go down again more and gains finally the championship of Scotland in 2007.
