Current values

Current values is a Magazine Hebdomadaire French pertaining to the group Valmonde.

The title was created in 1966 by Raymond Bourgine by taking again the contents of the weekly magazine Finances which was primarily a review of stockmarket information. It became little by little newspaper of opinion and magazine general practitioner, has liberal-preserving tendency.

Positioned with right on the political chessboard, criticizing it however for what one defines by opposition to progress, Current values draft of all the subjects of company in a décomplexée way, generally assuming a vision of the world in rupture with the media guns of its time.

Former member of the Federation of the nationalist students in the Sixties, the journalist François d' Orcival sign each week the leading article of Current values . Since December 15th, 2004, he is president of the leading committee of the group Valmonde ( Current values , the Spectacle of the world ).

Each week, the letter of Mr. de Rastignac presents in a humorous way the French political news in the style of Honore de Balzac, the names of the political personalities being modified; the letter of Mr. de Rastignac shows in fact the names given by Balzac to its observers. Nicolas Sarkozy (with which it drafting shows its sympathies openly) there is for example Martial Kropoly.

Passed after the death of Raymond Bourgine, in 1990, under the control of Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, the Valmonde group then became a subsidiary company with 100% of the Holding Dassault Communication of Serge Dassault. In January 2006, Southern Communication, whose owner is Pierre Fabre, became majority shareholder of Valmonde to a total value of 66,66% of the capital. The 33,34% remainder held by Dassault. The board of trustees remains chaired by Olivier Dassault, and his directory by Pierre-Yves Revol.

The Valmonde group is directed today by Guillaume Roquette, made in 2006.
