Curie (unit)
See also: Ci
The curie (symbol Ci ) is the old unit of Radioactivité. It corresponds to 37 × 109 disintegrations a second, which is roughly the activity of 1 G of 226 Ra. It was named thus in the honor of Pierre and Marie Curie. It belonged forever to IF. At the time of the 12e CIPM in 1964, it was replaced by the unit IF corresponding, the becquerel (Bq).
One a: 1 Ci = 3,7·1010 Bq
