Cupeño
The Amerindian S Cupeño ( Kuupangaxwichem in the Cupeño language) were a tribe Shoshone which lived to approximately 80 km in the north of the current border between the the United States and the Mexico. Their descendants live current das the mountainous region close to the source of the San Luis Rey River in California. They were one of the smallest tribes of the California of the south with a population than one estimates not to have jamia exceeded the 1.000 people.
In 1903 they were expelled of their village of Cupa with Pala. Today, the majority of them lie with the tribe Luiseño in the Réserve Pala, others in the reserves of Morongo and Los Coyotes.
