Culture of Costa Rica
The Costa Rica is the point of meeting between two ancestral field crops in America. The north of the country was the point more in the south of the influence of the Maya empire when the Spanish conquistadors arrived at XVIe century. On the other hand, the center and the south of the country were subject to the influence of the Chibcha. During 17th and XVIIIe century, the Atlantic coast of the Costa Rica was colonized by African Esclave S. At the same moment, thousands of Chinese families arrived to Costa Rica to work on the railroads. These various influences developed a culture extremely varied within Costa Rica.
Languages
Costa Yankees speak the Spanish American standard, but they use usually very respectful formulas for asresser with the others. When they use a familiar form, they use words like " voseo/vo" , " tú". They also speak about other languages commes the Bribi, but these are not the only languages that they speak, Costa Yankees parlents also of other languages.
Religions
The Catholicisme is recognized like the official religion in Costa Rica; several ticos protests that they are catholic, but little currently follows the religious doctrines to the letter. The " Virgen of Los Angeles " also known as Negrita is the most important symbol of the Catholic religion.
There is a named tradition Romería according to which people all of the worldwide converge the August 2nd in direction of the cathedral of Cartego. They visit Negrita , stone a dark image of the Virgin Mary which was apparently seen in XVIe century by an Amerindian on a hill located at Cartego, at the place where the cathedral was built. Costa Rica also counts several bunches which practice a mixture of Catholicism, of Occultisme and traditions of their African or Amerindian ancestors.
Education
Education is largely developed in Costa Rica. The first school levels (primary education, secondary, college/college) are free and obligatory for all the citizens. The country also counts four large public universities including most important of the country, the Université of Costa Rica. The country also counts a large variety of establishments of private education.
Cook
The inhabitants of Costa Rica do not have a particular gastronomical speciality or a particular style of kitchen or dishes which are clean for them.What would approach more than one national dish is " arroz idiot pollo" (" Chicken with rice "), of chicken cut out in rice with chick-peas and coriandre.
" Olla of carne" is a soup with many various vegetables and meats.
" Gallo pinto" (" cock peint"), is a mixture of black beans, white rice (both often of a meal of the day before), of coriandre, onions, of garlic, salt and a special sauce. This dish is traditionally accompanied with eggs, meat, and/or natilla - a kind of " sour cream" from Costa Rica -, like with very fried plantain and Twisted S of corn or the bread, often taken with the breakfast.
The lunch is regarded as the principal meal of the day. It often consists of a plate called " casado" , because the principal ingredients, of black beans and rice, are side by side as if they were married. Costa Rica receives a strong influence of the the Caribbean. Dishes like " Pati" and " Rondon" became integral part of the culture.

Foreigners seen by Costa Yankees
The visitors coming from the the United States, of the Canada and the Europe are often regarded as gringos . They are at the origin of a rise of the prices and a nondesired Americanization of the country. Nevertheless, several Costa Yankees regard the the United States as a friend and an ally.
