Culture of Argentina
Because of its immense territory and various origins of its population, the Culture of the Argentine is very varied.
Argentina was subject to a great European influence - some regard Buenos Aires as most European of the towns of South America. The Argentinian population comes especially from Spain and Italy.
Except the influence of these two countries, like that of the populations indigenous S, the local culture was influenced by the Musique and the Art S of Africa.
The Architecture of Buenos Aires and other Argentinas cities was influenced by several European countries. In the older cities and districts, one finds a modern mixture of style and colonial style which goes up with the Spanish domination.

The most known element of the Argentinian culture is probably its music and its dance, in very first plan the Tango thanks to people except standards such as Carlos Gardel or Astor Piazzolla. Seen from abroad, the tango is especially a reference for the dance, but the Argentinian ones place the words (kind of Argentinian slang called the Lunfardo ) and the music before even the dance. The words of the tango can be regarded as a kind of poetry.
The folk music and the dance are very popular in the Argentinas provinces with a mixture of European style and précolombien (example: the Chamamé ).
Also, since the years 1970, the rock'n'roll succeeded in taking an important place in the musical landscape of the country thanks to groups like Stereo Soda or Sumo . This current rock'n'roll made it possible to open with other musical genres like the Cumbia, the Ska, the Reggae and finally with the Electro, but one cannot quantify and sommairiser musical successes because of the remote loading which is not easily measurable.
Sport
The Sport has a very important place in Argentina, at the point to rather regard for example the Football as a true national obsession than with a play. The national team was crowned world champion twice in 1978 and 1986 (thanks to the exploits of Diego Maradona, true national icon) and its competition against the Brésil on the American southern continent is in the middle of this sport.Beside the national team, a Championnat of Argentina of football is set up since the end of the 19th century, it will become professional in 1931, undoubtedly one of the best championships of football at the technical level, the best clubs are Boca Juniors, Independiente, River Punt or the Racing.
Other sports are also popular like the Rugby (with the Pumas), the Tennis (Guillermo Vilas, Gabriela Sabatini), the Field hockey or the Basket-ball where Argentina was Olympic champion in 2004. Finally let us not forget either the automobile Sport where one of the great champions was Argentinian: Manual Juan Fangio.
Languages
The official language of Argentina is the Spanish , but in the use the Argentinian Castillan differs somewhat from the Spanish Castilian. The Argentinian Castilian has itself several variations, most widespread being the rioplatense that one finds in the area of the capital, and who draws his name from the Río of Plata.
