Cubry-lès-Faverney

Cubry-lès-Faverney is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Saône and the area Franche-Comté.

Geography

Located at crossed D 52 and 54, Cubry is more in the west of the three communes of the southern point of the canton of Vauvillers, bordering on the canton of Amance. The brook of the Ducks crosses the territory.

History

Cubry-les-Faverney was always an active small village. The construction of farm equipment, a sawmill, traders various, a company of earthwork and fruit producers, in turn, contributed to its notoriety. In his notes on the history of Cubry-lès-Faverney, published in 1913, the Moltoni abbot announces the production of the plow “Comtoise”, exploited by the three Dénommé brothers, manufacturers and merchants of agricultural machinery, wire of Ernest Dénommé, founder of manufacture. The grandson him, Gaston Named, took the business in hand in 1927 and lasting more than fifty years brought many improvements to the prototype constructed by his/her grandfather.
