The csárdás (to pronounce tchardach - csárda indicates a Hungarian inn) is the Hungarian Danse most known. It is a dance of couple which one finds in all the areas where live of the Hungarians: Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Vojvodine, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria.
The basic step of the csárdás is related with old the Branle S: it is made of side steps on the left and on the right, where the couple moves either together (out of mirror), or of the same foot on a small circle.
Among the figures, one finds side displacements circular (turns of couple), displacements, the towers of the girl, the openings of the couple and separations ( eldobbás ), during which the boy often carries out reasons in solo, of which struck boots ( csapás ).
