Crystallized turnip

Crystallized Navet is the project musical of the Auteur-compositeur-interprète and multi-instrumentalist Québécois Jean-Philippe Fréchette, originating in the Beauce and drawn up with Montreal. After long series of recordings, of which oldest go back to 2000, published on four different maxis (simply entitled EP1, EP2, EP3 and EP4) between 2004 and 2006, it launched a first complete album entitled LP1 at the beginning of 2006 before connecting with a album doubles, LP2 ² , in September 2007. It generally occurs on scene accompanied by three musicians.

The influences of Crystallized Turnip are varied. Among those, one in particular quoted Pavement.

Its discs were initially launched via its clean Label Dry and Dead. In May 2006, Crystallized Turnip and GSI Musique linked their efforts to create the independent Label the Confectionery, label on which are appeared its two albums.
