Cryptosystème

A cryptosystème is a term used in Cryptographie to indicate a unit made up of cryptographic algorithms and all the plaintexts, quantified texts and possible keys (definition of Bruce Schneier). This denomination however confused because is very often associated with the asymmetrical Cryptographie with the use of a private key and a public key for the operations of coding and deciphering. The RFC 2828 strongly disadvises the use of this term to replace " system cryptographique" :

$ cryptosystem (D) ISD S SHOULD NOT uses this term ace year abbreviation for cryptographic system. (For rationale, see: crypto.)
