Crypto-anarchism
The crypto-anarchism is a Philosophie which preaches the use of public keys and the Cryptographie with an aim of reinforcing the secrecy, the intimacy and the private life on Internet ( privacy in English). The crypto-anarchists aim to create virtual communities where all the members are anonymous or under pseudonym.
In these virtual communities, the physical identity of a pseudonym must be almost completely impossible to discover. The crypto-anarchists think that it is only inside these communities that they can be completely free, because in the other communities, there is always somebody who with the possibility of finding which they is or of listening to what they say. Moreover, the development of methods of suveillance which accompanies the growth by Internet, allow from now on that is set up a capacity of monitoring per computer which is without antecedent. Consequently, the crypto-anarchists affirm that the development and the use of cryptography are one of the means of defending oneself against this capacity of monitoring which will continue to grow and to be introduced more and more into the private life. This means of defense is for them to develop beside the political action.
