History

The cry Wilhelm was popularized by the Bruiteur of the saga Star Wars Ben Burtt which found the master original of the sound on a band labelled “Man being made devour by an alligator”. Although its first known use dates from the film the Adventures of the captain Wyatt , Burtt baptized the sound effect according to “Pvt. Its use in films of the saga Star Wars amorça a Private joke between certain sound-effects men of cinema industry, and more particularly with the Skywalker Sound and Weddington Productions (which became since a division of Technicolor Sound Services). They then tried to incorporate it in each film to which they worked when that was suitable, the most obvious kind being the Action film, but the specialists in the sound assembly are impressed when it is made by it a natural use in films such as a star was born , the wild Horde or Dingo and max . In homage to its original use, it was used in Indiana Jones and the cursed Temple when the malicious one, Mola RAM, is made devour by crocodiles. List works using the cry Wihlelm To make cf. -->
