Croth
Croth is a common French, located in the department of the the Eure and the area High-Normandy.
Geography
Croth is located on the border between the the Eure and the Eure-et-Loir. In the past, Croth had part of the village in the Eure and the other part in Eure-et-Loir, but now, Croth is located in the Eure (27), in the canton of Saint-Andrew.

Personalities related to the commune
- Jacques-Desired Laval was born the first day complementary to year XI of the Republic, according to the register of the civil statue of the time, i.e. on September 18th, 1803, in Croth, small village of the valley of the Eure. He was doctor with Saint-Andrew of the Eure (during four years of September 1830 in April 1834) then with Ivry-the-Battles (of April 1834 in June 1835). During two years, of February 1839 at the end of February 1841, the Father Jacques-Desired Laval was cleaned of Pinterville, small parish located at the south of Louviers, before embarking for Mauritius to deal with the former slaves. He was béatifié by the pope Jean-Paul II on April 29th, 1979.- Last place of residence of the actor Jacques Villeret, who there had just acquired a property in edge of river a few days before. He was struck down there by an internal bleeding, was transported to the hospital of Evreux where he died on January 28th, 2005 at a few days hardly of sound 54e birthday. Jacques Villeret: February 6th, 1951 - January 28th, 2005, born in Tours, lived part of its childhood with Loches and is buried in Perrusson, close to his/her maternal grandmother who was, for him, the person nearest to her family.
