Crossroads

A road crossroads is with the clean direction the zone included/understood inside the prolongation of the edges (or, if there are no edges, banks) of two roadways which are cut to right angle or almost right. More generally it is about the zone in which vehicles moving on different roads which are cut to unspecified angle, can meet.
Etymology
The word Carrefour comes from bottom Latin quadrifurcus , which has four forks or divisions, itself coming from quadri , four, and furca , fork.
Concept of branch
The branch (“ Intersection leg ” in English) is the portion of any of the roadways connected to the crossroads and located at I' external of the zone of the crossroads itself.One distinguishes two types of branches:
