Crocodilia
The crocodiliens ( Crocodilia or Crocodylia ) are Reptile S.
Of the crocodiliens three S includes/understands: crocodilidés (Crocodile), alligatoridés (Alligator and caiman) and gavialidés (Gavial).
The word crocodile is often used to indicate the whole of the crocodiliens. Actually it is advisable to hold the term with the family of the Crocodilidés, in order to distinguish the Crocodile from the Alligator and the caiman on the one hand, of the Gavial on the other hand.
The modern designs locate the origin of the crocodiliens among a sub-group of Archosauriens terrestrial of the old Trias, there is approximately 240 million années.
Of this fact they are regarded today as more the close relatives of the Oiseau X, which go down from the dinosaurs, others Archosauriens.
During the evolution, they specialized towards a life amphibian, reaching big sizes sometimes (like primitive the Sarcosuchus imperator ).
