Croatian party of the pensioners
The Croatian Left reprocessed the , Hrvatska Stranka Umirovljenika (HSU) is a catégoriel Political party in Croatia whose objective is to defend the interests of reprocessed which are approximately 700.000 people.
History
The assembly founder of the party was held in Zagreb on April 29th, 1996. The objective and the political activities of the HSU aim at improving the social situation and economic of reprocessed in Croatia which is the social group most but also that which was impoverished the most since 1990. The realization of these objectives must fall under a Croatian Welfare state more developed. The party aims at defending the interests of all the Croatian retirements, whatever their political ideas.
As of the first local elections to which they was presented (1997), it obtained 40 town councilors through the country. At the time of the parliamentary elections of at the end of 2000, the list of the HSU obtained 53.000 votes, score insufficient to enable him to have deputies.
The party today
The president of the party is, since 2001 (re-elected in 2005), Vladimir Jordan.
At the time of the parliamentary elections of at the end of 2003, the HSU obtained 1,97% of the voices and 3 seats with the Sabor. At the time of the local elections held in 2005, it obtained 40 regional advisers, 100 city council men and 106 communal advisers.
