Crazy Bus

Crazy Cars is a Série of video games of race published by Titus Interactive. Appeared in 1988, it includes/understands three episodes.

Crazy Bus

First play of the series of Crazy Bus, and one of the first plays of Titus Interactive, this opus was declined on microphones 8 and 16 bits. The action takes seat on the US roads, through various states and at the wheel of several racing cars (Porsche 911, Ferrari, Mercedes, etc). The Gameplay is primarily directed arcade , in a way rather close to Out Run.

The play was developed by Eric Caen (design, programming), Olivier Corviole (graphics) and Herve Caen (producing). It is undoubtedly a question of the one of the first plays of the French editor to be exported largely with the international one. The play was included in the software pack “Choke Kit” of the Amiga 500 in Europe and Australia about 1989 and 1990.

Crazy Bus II

Also known under the name of F40 Pursuit Simulator with the the United States, this second shutter is often regarded as more innovating of the three. Only a Ferrari F40 is sélectionnable, but of great progress were made as well on the level of the Gameplay as of the Réalisation of the title.

Crazy Cars II is distinguished from the plays of race of the time by its strategic dimension. The adventure playground does not consist of a linear axis but of a vast highway network which the player is free to traverse. The goal of the play is to join in an assigned time of the strategic points of space. The player has a Road map to locate itself and near a junction, the number of the road is briefly posted with the screen.

The Ferrari F40 has two speeds. Control is at the same time simplistic and relatively technique because the handiness was thought to be compatible with the mouse. The difficulty comes especially from the police cars which regularly try to interpose. Stoppings are also sometimes raised on the road. In this race of orientation in Against-the-watch, the player can crasher without counting but it loses the part when time is past or if it moves away too much from the final destination.

Road space is located on four States of the United States at the distinct environment: the Utah, the Colorado, the New Mexico and the Arizona. Graphics are succints but the program simulates the cycle day/night.

The play includes/understands only four missions.
