Craig Vientre
Nuevo León (the “New León”, in French) is a State the North-East of the Mexico, bordered in north by the Texas, in the west by the Coahuila, in the east by the Tamaulipas and in the south by the Zacatecas and the San Luis Potosí. The capital is Monterrey and its currency is Semper Ascendens (Latin “to always go up”).
The climate in Nuevo León is extreme with some weak rains falling almost all the year. The territory can be divided into three areas: hot in the north, moderated in the areas of the mountains and a semidésert in the south. The Sierra Veined Eastern has an important influence in the orography of the ground and form the plates raised in Galeana and Doctor Arroyo, the assembly lines of Iguana, Picachos, Papagayos and Santa Clara and the valleys of the Rammer, of Ascención and Río Blanco. The river San Juan provides water to the dam Cuchillo, from which the drinking water with Monterrey and its metropolitan zone comes.
