Craft industry

The craft industry is a technique of artisanal production, i.e. a manual production or of small scale. By extension, it includes the people who produce according to these criteria.

The craftsman is a person who does a manual work, which exerts a traditional technique on its own account helped often of its family and apprentices who it forms. The craftsman can also be a person to which the right gives, independently of the techniques used, the statute of craftsman (e.g.: a mechanic can be a craftsman; a baker who uses electric machines to knead and work the paste is a craftsman).

There exists also a branch concerned with the craftsmen of art , specialized and almost themselves in the artists. In France, the craft industry through the permanent Parliament of the rooms of trades, created a programme of reinforcement of artisanal competences in the countries of the South, the Cosame program whose shutter Of the Craftsmen without Borders is with the department of professional training.
