Coyoacán

Coyoacán (DF) is a delegación (district, administrative division) of Mexico City. It is located at the south of the city: latitude 19° 21 ' north, longitude western 99°10.

Coyoacán is an old village prehispanic, old capital of the Tépanèques, which was then added at the city during its expansion. Its center town is a tourist district which keeps a certain charm. There is a market of craft industry Saturday morning.

Coyoacán can result in " the place of the Coyote S " or " where there are coyotes ".

  • the church of the holy design: Iglesia of Santa Concepción
  • Los viveros : large seedbeds of Mexico City.

In the south of the district one finds Ciudad Universitaria, site principal of UNAM.
