Cover antifeu
A cover antifeu is an accessory of fight against the Incendie which often finds its place in the laboratories, the kitchens, etc, in complement of the other devices such as a Extincteur, a shower or the lance of the tap of fire.
Its mode of action consists in preventing to the maximum the and air flow consequently Oxygène: the private Feu of oxygen will cease.
It mitigates the impossibility of extinction of fire on a person when one has only extinguishers with Carbon dioxide (CO) which one cannot absolutely use in direction and even less on people because of the extremely low temperature of outgoing gas of the extinguisher and the " carbonique" snows; (lower than -50°C).
It is intended to extinguish clothing or to choke fire on a limited zone (stove, fire of dustbin,…).
This cover is made of a matter fireproofed Textile or of a matter little or not fuel (Glass fiber coated Silicone for example). Its dimensions allow an easy handling (approximately 1 m X 1 m).
To implement a cover antifeu, one draws on the two ribbons (kind of handles) exceeding case fixed at the wall in which the cover is carefully folded. By always holding these two handles, one draws aside the arms to develop the cover which is used then as protective shield then one wraps the person on fire, or one covers carefully the hearth without precipitation (stove or dustbin). The cover in place is maintained.
It is recommended to replace any cover having already been useful.
A cover antifeu is not a play for the children who should be informed of his use as well as handling of an extinguisher.
One should not confuse cover antifeu and Couverture of survival gilded/silver plated (plastic film with deposit reflectors of Aluminum).
