Courtillers
Courtillers is a common French, located in the department of the the Sarthe and the area Pays of the Loire. Very small commune located at the center of the canton, halfway enters Sablé and Précigné, Courtillers is remarkable by its village encircling the parish church Saint-Jean-Baptist who goes back to XIe or XIIe century for his oldest parts. Few changes modified the structure of the village slowly elaborate of XVe at the XVIIIe century. In north, close to the farm of the Park, remain the vestiges of old “the wild rabbit” of the castle of Sanded, mentioned by a document of XIVe century. It consisted of a vast quadrilateral, bordered of quickset hedges - in chestnut - exceptional by their thickness of several meters: they are still visible in edge of the road enters Sablé and Courtillers.
