Courteous literature
Courteous works express the chivalrous ideal , but they contain a new value: service in love. Courteous name “ ” comes from the short word “ ” which, as former French, indicated the court seigneuriale. The imaginary court of the King Arthur in the novels of the Roundtable becomes the ideal of the courses real: the refined practices and the correct usages are essential on it like rule. Fidelity with a Lady, the art of good speech and to sing, the courtesy, generosity are opposed, on the one hand, with the coarse manners of the warriors and, on the other hand, become sign of recognition of the aristocratic class. Also, the aristocrats, start to direct themselves towards a more attentive literature in the middle and with the spirit.
