Cournon-in Auvergne is a common French, located in the department of the Puy-de-Dôme and the area of Auvergne. Cournon-in Auvergne belongs to the urban surface of Clermont-Ferrand.

Its inhabitants are called Cournonnais.

Geography

The city is contiguous of Clermont-Ferrand and belonged to Communauté of agglomeration of Clermont Communauté. It is the second city of the Puy-de-Dôme.

History

Its downtown area is clearly marked by its past Vigneron. Very inclined, it was strengthened at the 13th century, some vestiges were preserved by it (city with a square tower carries). A Romance church (Saint Martin's day church) is also visible.
