The county of the Room (English: the Room County ) is a county located in the south of the State of the Texas at the the United States. It is named in the honor of Rene Robert Cavelier of the Room, the Explorateur French of the 17th century. The seat of the county east Cotulla. According to the census of 2000, its population is of: 5866 inhabitants.

The county has a surface of: 3870 km ², of which: 3856 km ² on the terrestrial surfaces.
