County of Zutphen

The county of Zutphen was limited to the city of the same name. It appears in 1025, with the count Otton Ier de Zutphen. Its grandson Conrad was briefly duke of Bavaria. To its death, Zutphen passed to his/her Adélaïde sister. Ermengarde, grand-daughter of Adelaide married towards 1116 Gerard II, count de Gueldre. Since, the county of Zutphen remained a intégrande part Duché of Gueldre.
