County of Upshur (Virginia-Western)
The county of Upshur is a county of the the United States located in the State of Virginia-Western. In 2000, the population was of: 23404 inhabitants. Its seat is Buckhannon. The county was formed in 1851 starting from the counties of Randolph, Barbour and Lewis and owes her name with the politician Abel Parker Upshur, lawyer and American statesman.
