County of Quay

The county of Quay is one of the 33 counties of the State of the New Mexico, with the the United States of America. It is located in the east of the State, at the border with the Texas. It was named in homage to Matthew Quay, a senator of Pennsylvania which supported the efforts of New Mexico while becoming a State. Its seat is Tucumcari. According to the Census of 2000, its population is of: 10155 inhabitants.
