County of Paris

At the time Carolingian and at the beginning of the time Capétien, Paris was the seat of a county. Its principal holders were the Girardides, the Robertiens - ancestors of the Capétiens - and the Bouchardides, counts de Melun.

The title of count de Paris disappears then until the Monarchie from July during which it is used for the grandson heir to Louis-Philippe.
