County of Oakland
The county of Oakland ( Oakland County in English) is a county located at the south-east of the State of Michigan. The name of the county east derived from the tree of Oak ( oak in English), which is common in the area. The seat of the county is located at Pontiac. According to the estimate of 2005 of the Office of the census, more the big city of the county east Troy.
In 2005, the population is of: 1214361 inhabitants. Maybe, the county of Oakland is the second county of Michigan more populated. It is one of the three principal counties of the area Metro Strait, with the county of Wayne and the county of Macomb.
Today Oakland is the richest county of Michigan. The county has an economic base directed towards the vehicles with Moteur, called Automation Alley (" Automobile alley of the s"), which is one of the greatest centers of employment for technology and of the trades relating to the United States.
