County of Montcalm

The county of Montcalm ( Montcalm County in English) is in the center of the lower peninsula of the State of Michigan. Its seat is with Stanton. According to the census of 2000, its population is of: 61266 inhabitants.

The county is named in the honor of Louis-Joseph de Montcalm, ordering French troops in North America during the war Seven Year old.

The county has a surface of: 1867 km ², of which: 1834 km ² on the terrestrial surfaces.
