The county of Menard (English: Menard County ) is a county located in the center of the State of the Texas at the the United States. It is named in the honor of Michel Branamour Menard, the founder of the town of Galveston in Texas. The seat of the county east Menard. According to the census of 2000, its population is of: 2360 inhabitants.

The county has a surface of: 2337 km ², of which: 2336 km ² on the terrestrial surfaces.
